Me & a group of friends are taking on this mammoth task in honour of our amazing friend Laurence who sadly lost a marathon of his own back in June 2022. 

Laurence was an amazing advocate for charity and we had watched him raise awareness and raise support for so many charities during his lifetime.

As Laurence navigated his own fight with bowel cancer I was always so impressed with how he never lost that drive to support others. He even ran a 5km race for life, raising thousands of pounds in the aftermath of being given a terminal diagnosis.

I made a promise to Laurence in April 2022, as we watched his amazing partner Kit & Kit’s sister Holly complete the Brighton marathon. 

I promised him I would run the Brighton marathon and run it in support of bowel cancer UK. The hope being that the money I raised could help someone like Laurence. Someone who is going through their own battle with cancer and needs support and advice to help them through it.

I would therefore appreciate your support in helping me fulfil this promise to my amazing friend Laurence!
